About

Business intelligence experience, hands-on development.

Level Up Data brings together business intelligence experience and hands-on development to make your data easier to trust and use. Jeremy Dempsey leads the work, with about 20 years of experience in BI, data engineering and reporting automation. Our developers help turn that experience into connected data, automated workflows and practical reporting tools.

Based in Orlando, Florida, working with clients in financial services, collections, travel and hospitality, sales, and contact centers, on site and remotely.

From the founder

I'm Jeremy Dempsey. I help businesses make sense of reporting that has become difficult to trust or maintain. My work spans business intelligence, data engineering and automation, with about twenty years across Tableau, SQL and Python, warehouse design and reporting automation.

The name comes from a love of classic games: exploring, finding the path, and assembling pieces until the picture makes sense. That is also a fair description of most data projects.

The approach

Clients often ask for a broken report to be fixed. Sometimes that is the job. Sometimes the report is the visible part of a reporting setup the business has outgrown.

  1. Listen

Understand the question behind the request and who needs the answer.

  2. Investigate

Follow the data back to its sources and find where it breaks.

  3. Solve

Build the smallest solution that actually fixes the problem, then make it repeatable.

  4. Support

Document, hand over, and stay available.

Work with a team that understands the problem and builds the solution.

Jeremy leads the engagement, supported by developers who help connect your data, automate repetitive work, and build useful reporting tools. We start by listening to the question behind the request, follow the data back to where it breaks, agree on priorities and scope in writing, build the practical version, and stay available after handover.

How we work

Clear priorities, documented decisions, and a practical handoff. You always know who is doing the work, and the work is built to be handed over.

Start with a conversation.
